Holiday Insurance?...Car Insurance? or indeed any type of insurance. where do you go ? NOT the comparison websites !
Millions of people do use the insurance comparison sites to choose both home and car insurance but recently these sites have been accused of misleading consumers. Some of these sites have not been giving a true picture of the the amount that you may have to contribute in the form of an excess payment to any insurance claim that you may make in the future.
It also has been reported by the FSA some of these sites are using “misleading” practices that could leave you the consumer worse off. So perhaps a safe option would deal direct with the insurance companies and get quotations from all the major insurance companies.
Another option would be to visit your local insurance broker, be sure that this is a well established company with a good reputation. Here hopefully you will find a person you can trust. You will be able to discuss your insurance requirements face to face and in the event of a claim you will then know with whom you are dealing
